Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 this year, we made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Gala, which was to occur on November 21, 2020. This event has been integral in bringing together hundreds of individuals in support of our not-for-profit hospital and helping raise much-needed funds for the various programs and services the hospital provides for East County and beyond. Despite this year's adversity, we remain dedicated to helping those in need to the best of our abilities. The beneficiary for this year's gala was Grossmont Hospital's Behavioral Health Department.

Support of the Grossmont Hospital Foundation is more important than ever before. Although we cannot host a gala this year, we hope you will still consider a 100% tax-deductible contribution in honor of it.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, our amazing Behavioral Health team has had to address an uptick in suicidal thinking. Currently, more than 50% of the psychiatry consultations in the Emergency Department and Acute Care Floors are because of patients experiencing suicidal thoughts. We are also seeing an increase in substance abuse cases and the need for life-saving inpatient and outpatient treatment(s). Your donation will specifically help further the hospital's efforts to be a place of healing and sanctuary during this difficult time. Our behavioral health unit includes a psychiatric emergency department, acute beds, and outpatient programs, allowing us to provide a full care continuum. The pandemic has brought forth challenges to those who reside in East County, and we need to continue to work together to take care of our fellow residents. Your generosity this year will go a long way in helping us provide an extraordinary level of care to these individuals.

We are so grateful to the many sponsors and individuals listed below, who donated to this year's event despite not being able to celebrate in person.
